Josh Hissong and Armando Hurtado are two designers who believe the places people work, live, and play in can transform their experience. Launched HDG in 2010. They built the business, with coworkers who love the craft, into a multifaceted organization that includes architecture, interior design, material procurement, and graphic design allowing HDG projects cohesion  from start to finish. Our clients are the life of this firm. We do not ever dismiss clients interaction and some of our best work is due to the blending of client ideas with our flavor.

Since 2010, they have completed over 800 projects, ranging from residential remodels to ground-up commercial and residential, and everything in between. All the while constantly striving to improve the process and the clients experience. Our co-workers have been the best part of this journey. We have been stoked to work with some of the most amazing Architects, Designers, Studio Admin people and the countless outside companies who make what we do a huge success.

As a visionary firm, they listen carefully to their clients, then lead with intention and insight to make sure the feeling of a building or space is spot on. It is an interactive, site-specific endeavor that merges art with engineering to deliver functional, extraordinary spaces that meet client needs and spark the senses.

the cost

Our fees are typically based on a percentage of construction cost and vary depending on project type, size, complexity, and expected timeframes. Our fees are also on par with industry standards. We openly share the “who, how, and why” related to our fixed fee. It is our job to listen and capture everything you share about your project. Our fixed fee will not “creep” unless you decide to substantially change the size, complexity, timeframe, etc. If we missed something you shared with us, that change is on us! No questions asked! If we’ve done our job, we will have created a cohesive and well-appointed design with an accompanying set of construction directions for your builder. Every design is integrated with all required engineering to provide a cohesive , functional, safe, and aesthetically coordinated environment for home or work. Our goal is to create an experience from the minute you walk in our door at HDG to the moment you walk into your new space. We have a creative team of Architects and Interior Design Rockstar’s, geeky (but super cool) engineers, and landscape gurus to make it all happen.
